Nephrology Associates of Watertown Welcomes, Sameera S. Quraishi, MD

Sameera S. Quraishi, MD ​ is a highly skilled and compassionate physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and board-eligible in Nephrology, with extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. ​ Dr. Quraishi will be joining our practice on October 27, 2025.
Dr. Quraishi completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY, where she served as a third-year resident. ​ She also completed a prestigious Nephrology Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, NY, where she gained expertise in ambulatory care, inpatient nephrology, critical care nephrology, outpatient hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and transplant services.
Dr. Quraishi earned her medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from Baqai Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. ​ She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and holds ECFMG certification. ​ She has passed all components of the USMLE exams and is registered with the DEA.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Quraishi has contributed to medical research, including published case reports and quality improvement projects. She is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Medical Society of the State of New York. ​
Dr. Quraishi is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population. Outside of medicine, she enjoys board games, cooking, traveling, and reading.
​Dr. Quraishi is dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients and looks forward to serving the community with her expertise in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
