The Jefferson Physician Organization is an independent practice association (IPA) representing physicians and allied healthcare providers throughout Jefferson County, New York. When first established in 1997, the JPO’s goal was to provide physician members an organized approach to navigating and practicing medicine in the complex world of managed care. Over the next two

decades, the healthcare landscape evolved and the JPO responded accordingly, moving from

risk-based contracting to pay-for-performance to value-based care.

 

The JPO’s work today remains focused on improving healthcare in our community while supporting its member practices in their day-to-day efforts to provide quality medical care to the patients they serve.
